Autobidder: find the bid
In "Find the bid" mode the Autobidder changes the bid on a keyword phrase, measures the effect for a day or two, and keeps only the changes that worked. It rolls back the failed steps on its own.
Modes
- "Off": the Autobidder does nothing.
- "Observe": it calculates decisions and writes them to the log, without touching bids in WB. This is the mode to start with.
- "Changes bids": it changes bids for real. Turning it on asks for confirmation.
Before switching to "Changes bids", check the bid ceiling and the target ad cost share. The Autobidder only works in running campaigns.
What we optimise
- Ad cost share: ad spend ÷ revenue of ad orders without cancellations × 100%. The Autobidder keeps it at or below the target.
- Profit: orders × margin − spend. This mode needs product costs filled in.
Below the target, the store's break-even ad cost share is shown. If the target is set higher than that, the Autobidder caps it at the break-even level, otherwise it would be optimising into a loss.
Settings
- "Daily stop by ad cost share, %": above this value for the day, the Autobidder stops raising bids.
- "Bid ceiling, ₽": the bid will never rise above this.
- "Step size, %": how much the bid changes in one step.
- "Dead zone, %": the deviation from the target at which the Autobidder leaves everything as is.
- "Changes per keyword per day": the frequency limit.
- "Allow increases" and "Allow decreases": which direction the Autobidder is allowed to move the bid.
Log
Every step is visible in the log: what changed, how the measurement turned out, and whether the step was kept or rolled back. If you set a bid by hand or moved the phrase to "Position Booster", the Autobidder backs off and notes it in the log.
