How to work out net profit per sale on Wildberries

Net profit per sale is the buyer's price minus seven deductions. Five are percentages of the price, two are rubles per unit. Count per sale, not per batch: that shows at once whether the product can carry advertising and refused orders.

  1. WB commission

A percentage of the price after the seller's discount, different for every subject. The calculator uses the category median; the exact rate is in the seller portal under Tariffs.

  2. Delivery to the buyer

46 ₽ for the first litre and 14 ₽ for every litre after, multiplied by the warehouse coefficient. The coefficient sits under Supplies → Tariffs and in 2026 is usually 100–170%.

  3. Logistics of refused orders

Every refusal is two paid trips. At a 90% buyout rate one sale carries 0.1 refusals, at 30% it carries 2.3. This is where most calculations break.

  4. Storage

Kopecks per litre per day that turn into a visible line after 30–90 days in the warehouse. The paid storage report puts it at about 0.11 ₽ per litre per day.

  5. Advertising

Ad spend as a share of revenue. Take the actual figure from last month's campaigns; for a new product budget 10–15%.

  6. Acquiring and tax

WB withholds 3.7–4% for payment processing as a separate line. Tax under the simplified 'income' regime is charged on the full buyer's price, not on what reached your account.

  7. Cost of goods

Purchase price plus packaging, labelling and delivery to the WB warehouse, per unit.

Profit = price − commission − logistics adjusted for the buyout rate − storage − advertising − acquiring − tax − cost of goods. Logistics per sale = delivery + (delivery + return) × (1 − buyout rate) / buyout rate.

Litre calculator: what a box costs to deliver

Volume in litres is length × width × height of the package in centimetres divided by 1,000. The WB base rate is 46 ₽ for the first litre and 14 ₽ for every litre after, multiplied by the warehouse coefficient.

BoxLitresCoefficient 100%Coefficient 150%

40 × 30 × 20 cm24368552
60 × 40 × 40 cm961,3762,064

Items under one litre follow their own steps from 23 ₽; the return trip after a refusal is charged at the base rate without the coefficient. Full breakdown of Wildberries logistics rates 2026

Where the numbers come from

The defaults are not 'roughly 20%' but a WB API snapshot and live store reports as of 05.09.2026. Every field can be overwritten.

FBO or FBS: what changes in the calculation

Selling from a WB warehouse (FBO) you pay storage, and logistics follows the rate of the warehouse you shipped to. Shipping from your own warehouse (FBS) the commission is 4–5 points higher in every category, there is no WB-side storage, but your own packaging and delivery to the sorting centre come on top.

Switch the model in the calculator and the commission changes by itself. For FBS set storage to zero and add delivery to the sorting centre to the cost of goods.

What the calculator does not know

The calculator answers 'is this product worth entering'. A month after launch the question changes: why did it come out lower in fact. Rates drift, the buyout rate floats, penalties arrive after the fact, advertising is smeared across campaigns, and a model is powerless here.

Parus Seller pulls the reports through an API token and lays out actual profit in the same steps as the calculator, only on real WB deductions and reconciled with weekly payouts.

FAQ

How do I work out net profit per sale on Wildberries?

Subtract from the buyer's price the category commission, logistics adjusted for refusals, storage, advertising, acquiring, tax and cost of goods. The calculator above does it at WB 2026 rates: enter price, cost, buyout rate and volume.

How is this different from the profit calculator in the WB seller portal?

The portal calculator prices logistics and storage by the rates of a specific warehouse, but takes advertising as a single line unrelated to real CPO, hides acquiring in 'other expenses' and never checks plan against fact. Here advertising, acquiring and tax are separate lines, and the result shows the break-even price and maximum ad share right away.

Is tax charged on the WB payout or on the price?

On the buyer's price. Under the simplified 'income' regime, income is the full amount the buyer paid, including commission and logistics you never saw. At a price of 1,200 ₽ the tax is 72 ₽ even if 700 reached your account.

Is there a WB profit calculator by article number?

Services that promise a calculation by article number pull the category, price and dimensions from the product card; the rest is still typed in by hand. You know those three fields without the article number, so here they are entered directly.

How much should I budget for advertising?

Use the actual figure: campaign spend for the month divided by revenue. For a new product with no history budget 10–15%. The calculator shows the maximum ad share at which a sale is still not a loss.

Is there an Excel version?

Yes, the unit economics sheet with the same formulas is open, has no macros and works in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers. The link is in the 'Where the numbers come from' section.
