The file holds two sheets: 5,989 subjects with the commission for five sales models, and a summary across 88 parent categories. The WB commission reference is wider than the storefront, so we cut the 1,421 subjects without a single product on sale and left only what really sells, with the average, the minimum and the maximum. The data comes from the official Wildberries API, the "Commission by category" method, on 29 August 2026, with no edits and no rounding. The filters work and there are no macros.

Articles about WB commissions usually retell the same ten-line table: clothing 15–25%, electronics 5–15%. In 2026 those numbers have nothing to do with your seller portal: a shirt from a WB warehouse pays 43.5%, baby food pays 27.3%. Below is what the API shows in full.

In short: the median commission from a WB warehouse is 34.5%, and two thirds of subjects sit in the 30–39% corridor. The most expensive are clothing, underwear, accessories and fine jewelry, around 41%. The cheapest are furniture, groceries and pet supplies, 25–28%. The FBS model adds 4.5 points to the WB warehouse rate, and delivery by the seller adds 9.5. Express delivery costs 3% in almost every category.

What a specific product keeps after commission, logistics and tax is shown by the Wildberries profit calculator: the category rate comes from this same table.

How much commission Wildberries charges sellers in 2026

There is no single rate: each of the 5,989 subjects on sale has its own commission, and it also depends on the sales model. According to the API on 29 August 2026, goods from a WB warehouse pay a median of 34.5%, an average of 33.6%, a minimum of 0.5% and a maximum of 43.5%.

Distribution of the Wildberries commission from a WB warehouse across 5,989 subjects: the peak sits in the 33–36% band and two thirds of subjects fall between 30 and 39%

The tails of the distribution have a simple explanation. Below 10% there are only vehicles (0.5%) and pharma (3%), 18 subjects in total: WB earns on volume there and makes no claim on the margin. Above 42% there is only clothing, accessories and everything people try on, because the platform charges for returns in those categories up front.

The commission is charged on the sale price after your own discount. On an item at 1,500 ₽ with a commission of 41.7% the platform keeps 626 ₽ before logistics, storage and advertising even start. How a price turns into net profit, step by step, we covered in the article on Wildberries unit economics with a calculator sheet. How the FBO, FBS, DBS and Click and Collect commissions differ

The API returns five rates for every subject, one per sales model, and the gap between them is wider than the gap between neighbouring categories.

Slope chart of median Wildberries commissions by sales model: WB warehouse 34.5%, FBS 39, Click and Collect 39.5, delivery by the seller 45, express 3
  • WB warehouse (FBO). The base rate and the lowest one. This is the category commission we quote above.
  • Shipping to a WB warehouse (FBS, "Marketplace" in the seller portal). Higher than the FBO rate on 5,970 subjects out of 5,989, equal to it on the remaining 19 and never lower. The median markup is 4.5 points, the maximum 12.5. For a shirt that means 48% against 43.5%.
  • Delivery by the seller (DBS). The median is 45%, a markup of 9.5 points over FBO. The exception is groceries and baby food at 4.5%: WB barely charges a seller who delivers food themselves.
  • Click and Collect and booking. The rates match on all 5,989 rows, with a median markup of 5 points over FBO.
  • Express from the seller's warehouse (EDBS). 3% on 7,372 subjects, which is almost everywhere.

The practical takeaway: moving from FBO to FBS costs 4.5% of turnover on commission alone, before any logistics from your own warehouse. On a product with a 15% margin that is a third of the profit, so the move has to be counted per vendor code, not "on average across the store".

Where to find the commission in the seller portal and how it lands in the report

In the seller portal it sits under Tariffs → Commission, the same table by subject and by model. In the settlement report the commission goes through as the "Wildberries fee" line, and its amount can differ from the rate in the table: promotions and the WB loyalty discount change the base, and on individual lines the fee can even be negative, when the discount compensation exceeds the commission.

Checking the table rate against the report by hand across dozens of vendor codes takes hours, so we pull the commissions over the API and drop them into the cost and price calculation automatically. Where the commission sits among the other columns, and why the payout depends on logistics more than on the rate, is shown in our breakdown of the weekly Wildberries report.

The

The screenshot shows a store with 4,870,000 ₽ of sales for the month: the WB commission is 876,600 ₽, which is 18% of turnover, and it is only the first step. Below you can see where the rest goes, because logistics and storage ate more than the commission did. First two months free with promo code PARUS60: sign up and connect your seller portal by API key, the key is created by the store owner and revoked in one click.

How to price the commission in

There is one rule: the commission is charged on turnover, not on profit. You sell for 1,000 ₽ at a rate of 40%, the platform takes 400 ₽ straight away, and out of the remaining 600 ₽ you still have to pay logistics, storage, advertising, tax and the cost of goods.

Stacked bar: where the customer's 1,000 ₽ goes at a commission of 40%, from 400 ₽ of commission and 300 ₽ of cost of goods down to 44 ₽ of profit

The calculation step by step:

  1. Take the rate for your own subject and your own model from the table, not the category average: inside Beauty the spread runs from 25.5% to 41.5%.
  2. Multiply it by the price after your own discount. That is the commission per unit.
  3. Add logistics both ways adjusted for the buyout rate, storage, advertising per sale and tax.
  4. Compare the result with the price. What is left is the profit per unit.

We have a free unit economics sheet for this calculation, and the commission goes into a single cell there. Remember that rates move: the table in this article is current as of 29 August 2026, so check it against your seller portal before the season.

FAQ

What is the commission on clothing at Wildberries? From a WB warehouse it averages 41.7%, most subjects pay 43.5%, and outerwear (parkas, down jackets, car coats) pays 33.5%. On FBS add 4.5 points to those figures: shirts and skirts cost 48%.

Which is cheaper, FBO or FBS? On commission it is always FBO: the FBS rate is higher than or equal to it on all 5,989 subjects, and the median gap is 4.5 points. The overall economics of FBS can still come out better thanks to storage in your own warehouse, but that is a calculation per vendor code.

Where can you look up Wildberries commissions by category? In the seller portal under Tariffs → Commission, or in our table above, which is built from the same API.

What is the Wildberries fee and why does it sometimes come with a minus? That is what the settlement report calls the platform's commission. The fee goes negative on lines where WB compensates the seller for part of a promotion discount and the compensation turns out to be larger than the commission.

How often do commissions change? Major revisions happen a few times a year, and spot edits by subject more often. The date of the data is in the first row of our table, and we refresh the file every time the API changes.

Is the commission different for sellers from China? Yes, the API returns separate rates for sellers from China, Turkey, Uzbekistan and the UAE. This table holds only the rates for sellers from Russia.
