These are the 869 vacancies with a stated salary out of 1,034 that hh.ru showed across Russia on 6 October 2026. Without experience the pay is about 60,000 ₽, with three or more years about 145,000 ₽. 40% of vacancies allow remote work.
The query "marketplace manager" gets about 30,000 searches a month in Russian, and nearly all of them come from people looking for a job or a course. We look at it from the other side: a Wildberries seller deciding whether to hire someone. Below is what we collected ourselves: duties from vacancy texts, the salary distribution and a calculation of the turnover at which a manager pays off. This is a sample of open vacancies on one date, not the pay of every manager on the market: amounts are as the employer wrote them.

What a marketplace manager does
A marketplace manager is responsible for the whole store on the platform: creates and improves product cards, plans supplies, runs ads, answers customers and goes through the reports. We read the duties in 28 vacancies with a marketplace in the title on the Rabota Rossii portal (Russia's state job portal) and counted how often each task appears. The hh.ru search results carry no duty text, so the duties were counted from these vacancies.

The first four tasks appear in 61–71% of vacancies, and this is the daily routine. Analytics is asked for less often, and only a third of employers mention prices, even though the price decides whether there is any profit at all. The right-hand column is taken from the pseller.ru home page and lists only what the service does by itself.
What a marketplace manager earns
The typical salary of a marketplace manager in hh.ru vacancies as of October 2026 lies between 70,000 and 120,000 ₽ a month, with a median of 95,000 ₽. When a vacancy gave a range, we took its midpoint, when it gave one bound, we took that. 23% of vacancies state the amount before tax, the rest state take-home pay. The medians of the two groups are close: 97,500 and 93,750 ₽.
The distribution is wide and has a long right tail. 109 vacancies, or 13%, offer 150,000 ₽ or more, and 84 of them are in Moscow and St Petersburg. 113 vacancies pay below 60,000 ₽: three quarters of them are in other cities, a third are assistant roles. The peak in the 100–120 thousand ₽ bracket comes from round numbers: 111 of its 185 vacancies have a midpoint of exactly 100,000 ₽, and 67 of them simply say "from 100,000".
What the salary depends on: experience, city, remote work
Experience moves the salary most. Without experience the median is 60,000 ₽, with 1 to 3 years 95,000 ₽, with 3 to 6 years 145,000 ₽. The gap between Moscow with St Petersburg and other cities is smaller: 100,000 against 80,000 ₽. Remote work lowers pay only a little: a median of 90,000 ₽ against 98,900 ₽ in the office and hybrid.
For a seller this leads to a simple point. If you need someone who decides on their own which goods to ship and how much to spend on ads, look for three or more years of experience: the median there is 145,000 ₽, with half of vacancies paying 100,000 to 165,000 ₽. For 60,000 ₽ you get someone who carries out tasks you set and whose work you check. On Rabota Rossii the picture is lower: the median of 28 vacancies is 56,600 ₽, but almost all of them are in the regions, with only three in Moscow.
Marketplace manager vacancies: remote and without experience
Remote work is stated in 40% of the vacancies in our sample, and another 11% offer a hybrid. 10% of vacancies are open to people without experience, and in 38 of those 100 the job is plainly called an assistant or a junior manager. The vast majority of employers, 80%, ask for one to three years of experience. Half of the vacancies are in Moscow and St Petersburg.

How we counted. For "marketplace manager" in the vacancy title, hh.ru showed 1,283 listings across Russia, and the result pages returned 1,055 without repeats. We removed vacancies where the same title hides a different job (pickup point, warehouse, finance, PC operator, support chats of the platform itself), which left 1,034. Of these, 869 stated a monthly salary in rubles, and the medians in the table are calculated from them. Each listing is counted once, even if the employer promoted it in the results.
When a seller should hire a marketplace manager
Hiring a manager makes sense when the salary is clearly smaller than the store's profit. Take the store from our breakdown of how much WB takes from a seller: a turnover of 6 million ₽ a month, net profit 309,400 ₽, or 5.2%. A manager on the median 95,000 ₽ costs it 1.6% of turnover and 31% of profit.
The line falls at about 1.8 million ₽ of turnover: there the median salary equals the month's entire net profit. At 3 million ₽ the manager takes 61% of profit, at 10 million ₽ only 18%. The same calculation has a flip side. To pay for themselves through sales growth, a manager has to add about 1.8 million ₽ of turnover a month.
The assumptions are these. The 5.2% margin comes from one store and is treated as the same at any turnover: all of its cost lines, from commission to ads and cost of goods, grow with sales. The salary is taken from vacancies without payroll contributions, so an employer hiring on an employment contract will pay more. If your margin is 15%, the line moves to 630,000 ₽ of turnover, so plug in your own numbers from the profit calculator.
Manager, assistant or service: what a seller should choose
The choice depends on what the store lacks: decisions or hands. Decisions come from an experienced manager, and that is 145,000 ₽ a month. An assistant at 60,000 ₽ frees the owner's time from routine. Part of the routine, from replies to reviews to bids, a service does without a person for 4,490 ₽ a month.
